7 -NY Rangers 95
8 -Montreal 93

This year we should see a few teams flip flop with some new teams making the playoffs on paper anyway. But every year there is always a few surprises. Its anyone's guess but here's how I see things shaping up for the 2009/2010 season. Sometimes its easier to work backwards.
15 NY Islanders - Tavares and Roly the goalie won't move you up this season
14 Atlanta - Needed to get Kovy some help before he leaves for big $
13 Florida - A team with no identity has a few young parts that will shine on occassion
12 Tampa Bay - Young team that wants to learn how to win. D is much improved
11 Buffalo - You can't expect to move up if you do nothing in the offseason.
10 New Jersey - Extremely tough division. Lots of cap space, could still move up.
9 Montreal - Just an average team, may sneak into the playoffs but too small to win
8 Toronto - New attitude, new boss, new results, Toskalo playing for new contract
7 NY Rangers - Can all the big money finally work?
6 Pittsburgh - Top 2 Centers in the game, can`t shut them both down night after night.
5 Carolina - Easiest Division, should rack up plenty of points, Stall eyes Olympic squad
4 Ottawa - Heatley ? mark remains a huge issue, finally have a goalie.
3 Washington - Ovie wants 3 MVP's in a row? Only Gretzky and Orr have ever done it.
2 Philly - A very complete team. Only ? is Emery but I think he has something to prove.
1 Boston - Not the best team but they aren`t in the Atlantic division
Teams from 7-10 can be flipped all around but I can`t see too much change overall.
Give me you standings, or comment on the above standings for your favorite team.
only team i dont agree with is ottawa they will be fighting at for a playoff spot with montreal and toronto and even worse if heatly is gone
put pittsburgh in the top 4 atleast and you got yourself a post haha
hahahahahaha... what are you? 12 years old?
I must have missed the memo about the sens getting a goalie
I'm 100% sure you're a Laffs fan
ottawa picked up leclaire from columbus at the deadline. theres your memo
I dislike Pittsburgh as much as any Flyers fan, but they're going to be in the three. P.S. I am not a Flyers fan. I dislike them about as much as any Pittsburgh fan does.
Ottawa number 12 at best. Pittsburgh will be there come playoff time but 6 seems a little to low. I would say 3-4.
Sens will be battling for 7th and 8th, not home ice. I hope this is the year Jersey craps the bed finally. I think Toronto is 1 more year away from the playoffs. I also think Carolina doesn't finish that high, they had a sweet end of season run and got hot. 1. Pitt 2. Boston 3. Washington 4. Philly. 5. Rangers 6. Canes 7. Ottawa 8. Montreal 9. Jersey 10. Toronto 11. Buffalo 12. Tampa 13. Atlanta. 14. Florida 15. Isles.
I agree for the most part, but Tampa may surprise a lot of people this year. Their blueline looks really nice this yyear, but of course goaltending is still an issue.
Ottawa has Pascal Leclaire, who if healthy is a very good goalie.
WOW, This is Obviously Written From NORTH of the Border, I think you need to Watch some more Hockey buddie this is how I see it 15. Atlanta14. NYI13. Florida12. Tampa11. Ottawa10. Montreal9. Toronto8. Buffalo7. Carolina6. Philadelphia5. NYR4. New Jersey3. Boston2. Pittsburgh1. Washington
sabres will finish ahead of montreal, florida and possibly even the rangers
I think we are forgetting that Ottawa is A STANLEY CUP CALIBER TEAM. Trading Heatley to get 2 top six forwards and a prospect means they will be feared
Count Jersey out again this year...go for it.What do they have the make the play offs for two straight decades around here before people ever learn? Or maybe you should write what most here want to really see: 1. Canadian Team A, 2. Canadian Team B, 3. Canadian Team C, and so on and so forth....
Ottawa all the way up to 4? I don't know. It's going to be a dogfight for positions 4 - 8 in the playoffs but here are my predicted division winners: Atlantic-Pitt, N.E.-Boston, S.E. -WSH. Philly should be in and Hank should be enough to get NYR into the playoffs and never count out Jersey.
Your on glue the sens will not make it neither will the canes, rangers and philly will be fighting for the last spot with the leafs. The habs will be mid positioned in the playoffs (do not underestimate). jersey will be up there as usual. Get a grip man!!!!!!
Ranger fan here.....but the devils will take a nasty flop this year due to the age of their players.they have a lot of guys in their mid 30's.The Marty Machine will decide their fate.
TO ahead of Montreal is crazy! WHO WILL SCORE ON THE LEAFS...Habs have made improvements and have a better coach!
btw about the devils, we say every year they'll flop and they dont, im not counting them out any more!
