On draft day I was one of many thinking Burke would move up in the draft. To grab JT or Brayden Schenn. I was dissapointed to see the Kings draft Brayden. So the leafs selected Nazem Kadri at which point I cursed in disgust. But the more and more I look at it, the better it seems. Kadri was only cut from the world junior team last year because of a broken jaw. Even though this injury slowed him, he still managed to rack up just over a point per game. This year Kadri won't make the Leafs or Marlies. Instead he'll go back to the London Knights, light it up with similar numbers as Cody Hodgson and gain valuable expierience in the WJC in Saskatoon. I've began to see some light in this kid. He must be a natural born athlete seeing that as he is of Lebanese decent where most children don't even watch hockey.
My prediction, Kadri adds wieght this year in the OHL while putting up amazing numbers and winning a Gold medal for team Canada at WJC.

We'll see what Kadri can do, Hodgson also wasn't nearly as hyped until he performed the way he did this year. Kadri has the raw tools, it will be a question of psyche and his ability to pack on some pounds without losing speed or agility
agreed. I think with the expierience he'll get ay WJC he's a future first liner
