Devils don't offer veteran center Eric Chouinard a contract

Veteran center Eric Chouinard, who attended the Devils' prospects camp for four days hoping to get a contract, will be going back to Germany to play hockey this season.
Devils general manager Lou Lamoriello said no contract offer was made.

"He's going to be going back to Europe," Lamoriello said. "He did very well, but we could not at this time offer him a contract on what we've seen."
Chouinard had to inform his team in Neurembeg by today, so he will be playing there again in 2010-11.
"He would've been ivited to training camp, no question," Lamoriello said. "But he has a family and had to make a decision now."
