That being said, it is pretty damn close to being over.........

Yet, as a fan, I still have hope. Hope that one of our best players can actually score a goal in one of these games.

Hope that the bounces that have not gone our way, will actually go our way. (Van has a goal off a defensemans skate and a complete fluke off the glass).

Hope that Turco's efforts will not go down in vain. 1.67 GAA and .943 Save% (both in the top 4 in the playoffs)

Hope that the power play, particularly the 5-3 pp will actually produce like it has all year. 18.5% in the regular season (7th best), 8% in the playoffs(12th of 16 teams).

Hope that Jere Lehtinen can get his stick blade cleanly on the puck just once. (zero points for a 26 goal scorer)

Hope that Mike Modano can find the speed through the nuetral zone that is his trademark. (He is turning the puck over more than he is getting shots)

Hope that Phillipe Boucher can get his shot from the point, through to the net like he has done all year.

Hope that Sergei Zubov can work his magic, magic that few blueliners possess, with amazing footwork and even better passes.

Hope that Brendan Morrow can find the junk in the crease and bang it home.

Hope in my team, the Dallas Stars. The team that has won the Stanley Cup once, have won two Presidents' Trophies, won seven division titles and two Western Conference titles in the past ten seasons.

Now is the time for hope and for action. Past action is the reason for my hope and action will be my savior so for the Dallas Stars and for all the Dallas Stars fans, it is never over until it is over.
