What a shame. A goal 52 seconds into the game, and the Pens just seemed to be going through the motions until about 5 minutes left in the game. What about the 2 periods in between?? If they keep this up, we might be shaving our playoff beards come Thursday. Don't get me wrong, I think the kids can bounce back, but tomorrow nite is all but a do or die situation, since I don't think the Sens would blow a 3-1 series lead, not like it's impossible.
Some other notes...
-I wasn't a big fan of either of the trades at the deadline, but after seeing Gary Roberts play, I can't think of anything that Shero could have done better (besides getting some real defensemen). In my opinion, he seems to be the only player who has played with heart every shift in every game in this series.
-I am very disappointed in my fellow Pens fans from last night. I can see people booing the Senators, but booing the Canadian national anthem is pretty low. It's not a very good 'thank you' for the country who originated hockey. We should have been singing along with it instead.
-A non-hockey note: my thoughts and prayers go out to all those affected by the tragedy today at VT-all those kids wanted to do was gain and education and make the world a better place, and they have to suffer that, it's just a shame
