The New York Rangers sent qualifying offers to RFA's Dubinsky, Callahan, Korpikoski, and Zherdev. Callahan and Zherdev are scheduled to go into arbitration at the months end. A Swedish source close to the Korpikoski camp said the former 1st round pick was disgusted with the Rangers offer. Disgusted, if anyone should feel this way it is Blair Betts who the Rangers Faithful loved for his outstanding penalty killing and sportsmanship; and was shunned by the Rangers after signing a series of mediocre players like goon extraordinaire Donald Brashear, lazy scrub Tyler Arnason, and the soft giant Brian Boyle. Korpikoski should just take what he is given and over time he will be able to make a name for himself. If he is disgusted with the contract offer, he can go make a name for himself in Sweden and the KHL where he might be able to become famous. Well this is just another little stone unturned for the Rangers. Let's see how it ends. Keep you posted.
