As Rangers fans, we probably shouldn’t get too excited about tonight’s 3 – 1 win over Carolina. After all, the Hurricanes entered tonight with the fewest points (by far) in the NHL with 24 in 35 games. They have scored the second fewest goals (tied with Boston and ahead of Tampa Bay) in the Eastern Conference (88) while giving up the most (128).
Yes, the Hurrican...
Great win this afternoon at the TD Banknorth Garden by the Rangers. I wouldn’t necessarily call it a dominating performance but it was solid. Boston controlled the play for stretches but all-in-all the Rangers did a good job of making sure a Bruins team missing key players came up on the short end of the stick.
Lundqvist was great today. He made some great saves foll...
yesterday in practice marian gaborik was cut on the leg by the skate of henrik lundqvist and recieved several stitches.tonight at msg the broadway blueshirts will face the nashville predators. the rangers are again stuggling in the offense and without gaborik[six goals in his last five games] will be struggling even more. gaborik is questionable but might not play and miss...
This is the time of year, right before the opening of the NHL’s regular season, when every fan indulges in dreams of Stanley Cup glory. It doesn’t matter how improbable or unrealistic said dream is; we still fantasize how our current roster will defy all of the odds and preseason prognostications and bring Lord Stanley’s chalice home to their fans.
As a Rangers...
Hard-earned point tonight but a disappointment nonetheless with tonight's 2 - 1 loss to Tampa. I'll keep this brief so we can get back to the bantering on Jan's blog. I would have just included this as a comment but it is a little too long for that.
First on MZA: I think we can all agree we like this kid. He battles hard and works along the boards. He shows good instinc...
After a solid effort against one of the easts top teams, the Lightning are ready to overcome their loss and avoid receiving back-to-back losses for only the 2nd time this season. With the help of solid goaltending and a team effort, it's hard not to like the lightning's chances heading into the first battle of these two teams.
Since the loss of Steven stamkos, the light...
Another regular season, another Kings team, simply sliding their way through yet another 82 game schedule, hoping for the best and hoping for a chance to play further into spring.
I have seen enough of this group to draw the conclusion that they are constant underachievers in the regular season, but perhaps not overachievers when it comes to the second season of the NH...
Do the Kings want to play? Right now, they once again look like a team that really makes you wonder just how in God's green earth did THIS team win the Cup? A question I have asked quite a bit over the last couple of years despite the amazing success of this team come playoff time.
Just tuned into the game after getting back from seeing the new release "Unbroken", which...
