First off, everything I said yesterday and earlier on in the year still applies ... I am still wildly optimistic about this team.

Losses happen.

Even 8-1's happen.

But this "post-Ranger game" thing ... it's gotta stop. And it's gotta stop this season.

Why? Because when you muster up a solid game like last night's 2-1 win over your hated rivals to solidify a great 3-1 start and then you completely tank the very next night 8 to freakin' 1 ... and when the club's record after a Ranger game (win, lose, draw, overtime loss, shootout, coin flip ... WHATEVER) is absolutely atrocious for as long as I can remember ...

You take SO much away from everything that was accomplished the night before.

There needs to be a proactive approach to make sure that this doesn't happen anymore. So much momentum can be built off of not only a win against the Rangers but a 3-1 start that launches you to the top of the division from the get-go. To bomb it out, 8-1, just one night later ... YIKES!!!

Fellas ... Teddy ... come on!!! Long time fans, of all the crap that we've been through over the years, are beyond sick of this!

On the positive side, the Leafs got their arses handed to them against Carolina a couple of nights ago and then they went and did this to us ... so???

Go kick the snot out of Philly on Saturday night ...

And all will, again, be well ...

i like that idea... 'you just got your ass kicked... pass it on'... maybe we'll see you beat philly 9-1... and then philly goes on to beat some1 10-1, and by the end of the season we'll see a crazy 88-1 game XD

I still don't understand why we play a team the next night, every time we play the Rangers.
