So McLovin is being very vague about Jeff Friesens status. Saying
"he didn't hurt his chances last night" What exactly does that mean?
Our new coach seems to be a little less willing to give the media
information about the status of certain players. One would think that
with freeze only playing in one preseason game so far that his days
are numbered here in San Jose. But I have a different take on things.
I have a strong gut feeling that Freeze will be skating out of that
wonderful Shark head on opening night. I say this because Hockey
clubs will "showcase" a veteran in the preseason if they know they
are not going to extend a contract to the player. Considering how
scouts don't get into teams training facilities in the preseason, that
cements it even more. Freeze still has a lot of gas left in the tank,
and from what i've seen at practice, and at the game he still has
great hands, and some nice wheels. Now as i said before this is a
gut feeling, so don't read to much into it.
