Your coach calls you out...questions your contributions to the team.

Your team trades for the 'other half' of the Flyers former leadership duo.

Your name gets mentioned in numerous trade rumors...and you are the team's captain.

So what do you do?

Score a natural hat trick and add an assist through 1 and 1/2 periods against the Chicago Blackhawks.

Dustin Brown didn't need this game to prove his worth...but it sure didn't hurt.

The question is, did he just make himself even more attractive to 29 other NHL teams?

I'm guessing the answer there is: HELL YES!

LA GM Dean Lombardi is going to have a tough decision to make.

But judging by the news earlier this week that Brown was available, maybe he has already decided. Maybe Brown isn't his choice for captain anymore and this will just make moving Brown for what he wants even easier.

If I were Lombardi, there's no way I'd move Brown. He brings a lot to the team...and most of it isn't what he did tonight (so far).

But if he already has a plan in motion...and it seems like he does...maybe this game made it that much easier to follow through with it.

So why trade a guy that just got a 4 pot hat trick game when your teams biggest need is scoring? Hmmm

I've wanted Brown in a Sabres uni for years. LA has a stud in Brown, and I can't imagine a team trading such a complete all around player. NHLers in the mold of Brown are few and far between. And by no means is there a Dustin Brown in every draft, again, he is a rare player. I can't imagine LA would honestly be dumb enough to give him up (no offense intended, could you really say you feel different?), but if they do pull that trigger, shoot him our way!

As a Ranger fan I'd love to trade for Brown. He brings fantastic value for his cap hit and fits in perfectly with the system. It's like having two Callahans.Anisimov Stepan GaborikHagelin Richards CallahanDubinsky Mitchell BrownFedotenko Boyle PrustI fucking love that.

Brown moves to Sabres for D Roy. Re-unites Mike Richards with friend from Kitchener. It is all about Mike Richards. LA expect disappointment come play-off time. Carter is the invisible man.
