yes you can salvage something from the first two flames' games of the season. two good comebacks, 4 goals for langkow, brief periods of astonishment from kipper, but all in all.. we sucked.
at least the energy was there the second time around. moderately. as an aside, i actually would have found the games more exciting watching them on CBC than being 20 feet from the action. yeah, it was that bad.
wait that wasn't an aside. that was a completely relavant point. look at that.
too many defensive zone give aways. too many lost battles. too many neutral ice give aways. too many penalties.
on the plus, we're getting there. give us a few weeks and we'll dominate. i see it.
Calgary top 2 lines look like they will be one of the best in the league. Less PK and less giveways and you will see a winning team. That will come as they gel and learn the system more. 3 new Def pairing take a little while to get used to each other
Calgary is going to need to stay out of the box if they have any shot at their division. Keenan is notoriously awful on special-teams, and the Flames sucked at it before he got there. You'll get picked apart in this division if you take too many penalties and can't kill worth a damn.
Calgary will never dominate they will prove that there were never more deserving of the name "the shames" than ever before.
And now a road game against Detroit. This could get ugly, or maybe Keenan will shock us all and get them going. We shall see.
