Yestarday I woke up with the usual excitement of the playoffs, went to work and stood through eight hours of perperation for the night. I turned on my XM to listen to the Sharks/Preds game, then turned on my T.V. to watch the Nucks/Stars game. I learned last night that they were going to do the 'live look-in' to show the later games in the night, and immediately knew I'd get to see at least a period of Wild action. Luckily, I got to see two!
I sat in a room with a half dozen good friends watching the games, they had no preference who won any of the games, they just like hockey. I can't argue with that, but I can tell you I was into that Wild game. Watching Skoula get schooled, watching the Wild sustain no pressure, watching TSN call Bouchard the Loch Ness Monster and eventually realizing that time had run out was truely sad. I was stunned to see the end how it was, but now it's time to move on.
And at 11 this morning the moving on was made a bit easier. I got a call from the almighty Uncle Bob and he said 'Do you want tickets?' Of course i said yes, and then not even ten minutes ago it was finalized! I AM GOING TO THE GAME! The six hour drive will be nothing as I'll be drueling with game-day excitement.
Cheers for the playoffs!
