I decided to write this blogg hoping maybe that Yelle would read it and return to the Flames. Just kidding, but I know that I would to see him return to the Flames to Center our Fourth line with the kids. Now Sutter I know has mentioned that he wishes Yelle the best, and said he will find a job in the nhl for sure. But I think maybe Sutter should think about resigning him to a one year deal. This could help us not only on the penaldy kill but in the dressing room as well. Yelle is a classey guy, who never gets the hype of other players. He always puts in 100% and he comes to rink to play and help others. Sutter does need to dump some salary, maybe he waits to see what player he can dump. Its a long shot that yelle is seen in Flame colors, but for the me I would like to see him return for just one more season. So yelle if you read this please return, and Daryl if you read this, do what is best and give him one more year.
I love yelle I will miss him if when signs somewhere else I agree buddyFlamestr
At one point I thought Sutter would die with Yelle in his coffin but although he laid down ion front of countless shots and won us over that way, it has crippled his speed and the guys we have coming in will do what he does but also chip in with the goal scoring and penalty kill. I wish him the best but I'm glad we are moving on to younger, more diverse, players.
There's no room for Yelle, unfortunately. I agree with saneopinion; we need to get younger and faster, and Boyd should be on the fourth line rather than Yelle.
One of my favorites, a true warrior rarely getting credit for the job he did. This team needs a shake up and as much as I hate to say it he's another odd man out. All the best to him where ever he ends up...
I'd rather see Yelle in the line up than Jamie Lundmark, I tell you that. It IS unfortunate that Yelle seems to be one of the odd men out. He deserves better than just to be "dropped" - and I hope he finds a good role on a good team. But, having said that, I've been pushing for the Flames to get younger and faster for 2 or 3 years now. I can't complain too much now that we're taking some steps in accomplishing that. (Except for Bertuzzi. Sigh.)
I don't think Yelle will be back. I think Sutter is making a big mistake by not signing him. As Yelle is one of the most honest players in the game when it comes to working hard.
