The Colorado Avalanche just released their TV Schedule and I'm not too happy. Like I've had to sit through Nuck game, after Nuck game here in BC and I though TSN & CBC might just put a little more Avs games on their schedule. Well, how wrong was I! Their are 6 games between CBC & TSN that include Colorado and the rest are all Vancouver, Toronto & Montreal games.
Now I know everybody is thinking "What About Center Ice" but I just can't justify spending 300 bucks to watch 82 games of hockey! I mean it's not worth it, as I'm only going to watch the Avalanche games anyway! So this may sound a little stupid but I think I might start a petition for all us Canadian Av - Lovers. Like I would have to find out who to send it too and everything but it might just be worth it!
So I would really like to hear your guys' response and see if you have any answers to this! If you are serious about this though pm me and I will make the petition! (I'll only make it if I do have at least 15 - 20 takers!)
Thanks,
You don't just watch 82 games with center ice. If it isn't your home team broadcast you find yourself watching other games during the intermissions. TV timeouts you will start switching to see other scores. I think I have seen at least a few minutes of just about 90% of every game the last couple years.
yea man i agree wuth szandor , i totally flip channels during commercial break and intermission to watch other games , so you definitly getting more then 82 games . Your getting hundreds.
your petition won't matter.TV broadcasting is done based on region. There are geographic cut outs that dictate what you will see based on where you live.

I'm sorry to say that you aren't the first one to complain to a television network about broadcasting regions...you would probably just be wasting your time..sorry
They're not broadcasting very many Avalanche games quite simply because Colorado is not a Canadian city. I believe every TSN broadcast this year has to include at least one Canadian team. I'm sorry to say but the amount of Avalanche fans in Canada are greatly outnumbered by fans of any other Canadian teams. If your as big a fan of the team as you are suggesting, just buy Centre Ice.
ur kidding, right? u cant spend $3.50 on watching the team u like... $3.50!! that's like a mcdonalds meal... isnt that how much cigs are in the states? come on! stop complaining..
Seriously man, just buy center ice. If you like the Avs that much, you'd be willing to shell out a few bucks per game. Plus you'd get the homer announcers rather than the perspective of the canadian team all the time
Why don't you move to Colorado then? Oh wait, that might be more expensive than the $300 for Centre Ice. Oh, wait again, Centre Ice is only $200 not $300. Since 6 games are on CBS, #38 and TSN that leaves 76 games at $2.62 per game plus tax. Not a bad deal. I buy it for my Oiler games because it's all Leaf crap over here. Definitely worth it.
You're complaining because a Canadian network is showing all Canadian games?
Yeah, I'll probably just buy Center Ice it's just, you'd think their would be more games on TSN cause they're in a division with a bunch of Canadian teams. But I almost wish that each team had like their own package. Like maybe 100 dollars, just for your teams games. But what I don't like is that their is going to be games on TSN
I get Center Ice for about $149.00 and they break it down into four payments of $37.25. Even though I am a huge Avs fan I'm still a huge hockey fan too and you can't beat all the games they show. I'm mean realistically what do they show during a season about a thousand games?
I pay the $149 for center Ice just to watch Avs game and it is sooo worth it. They even give you the rest of the games for free!!!
Just 200 bucks and I get to watch whatever game I want for the entire season. Honestly the whole point of center ice is so you don't miss any of your teams games, if your not in the area(you have to suck it up and buy it/move/change teams), and because you get to see the rest of the league. 7 months of as much hockey as you can shake you stick at for 200 is a great deal imo...
Center Ice is better than sex. It's an absolute must if you're a in depth fan-or if your team plays in another town.
Think of it this way.....if you lived in Colorado, $300 is about the cost of going to 5 or 6 games and that's provided you go by yourself and don't eat.....
I feel your pain. I am a Habs fan living in DC, so I get no games on TV. I do get Center Ice and I have season tickets to the Caps, so that makes my annual hockey spending to like 2800 USD. Man, I am a sick, sick person.
$2800 a year? true dat man i can relate
