With the negativity that surrounds the Coyotes on this site (with the exception of Panger, of course). I realize that we've sucked in the past... but believe it or not, there are Coyotes fans out there. Hardcore Coyotes fans who stick by them through thick and thin. We are sometimes considered to be different from other hockey fans and have had to become quite defensive where our team is concerned. I would imagine that the reason why Coyotes fans don't bother to post in the forum here is because of the negativity. If you don't like this team, go post in your team's forum.
"You're a COYOTES fan???? HAHAHAHAHA..... why?" It's the same thing in every forum, on every hockey related site... I'm now used to people laughing in my virtual face when I proudly announce the name of my #1 team. I won't explain it for the zillionth time here. I just AM. Most of the people on this site have never had the pleasure of attending a home game at Jobing.com Arena. If you ever get the chance, you should. I can assure you that it will be a good time.
I expect the tone of the posts will improve this year, as I am sure that my team is going to improve. Even if they still don't make the play-offs, I'll remain a fan. Loyal to the core; if I am the last fan standing, so be it. Everyone likes to kick you when you're down... and then pretend that they liked you all along when things start to look up.... I can't wait to read those posts...
I disagree, if people are laughing at you for being a yotes fan than they are just trying to rile you up. The young talent that they possess and the fact that they have a legit goalie make me think they are in the playoff race for sure, if they were in the east they would be in for sure. They have been poor for a long time but in the last couple years have made some great strides. With a huge #1 center, Doan, Mueller, Turris, Brys...the goalie (i'm not going to embarrass myself trying to spell it) and a couple young studs on d I don't see why anyone would be laughing.
The Coyotes are far from being a joke. Many teams are in much worse shape, like Toronto, Florida, Atlanta, The Islanders. I think the Coyotes have a great chance to make the playoffs, as well as Chicago and Edmonton. All of these teams have some exciting young talent on the roster.
Hey Carcillo13, cheer up, the Coyotes look better going into the next season. Myself being a Leaf fan and a Panther fan also (only because I live down here now), I have toiled with being a fan of futility. I and my friends have had long to reflect on the progress of our teams throughout the year (or lack thereof), but the one common theme that resonates with fans who follow teams that are not that successful, (other than having your head checked...), is that the real fans tend to rise from the ashes. Sure it's easy to be a fan of teams like Detroit and other winners years after year, since they have been winners for a long time. But the real fans stick around through the tough times. So when your team becomes more respected, you can enjoy their success that much more.Ultimately, it really doesn't matter what other people think about where your alliance is and how fanatic your are about it..., it really only matters to yourself. Enjoy the upcoming season.
I really like the Desert Dogs. I live in San Jose and Sharks are my #1 team, I do like to follow the Coyotes. I think the Coyotes have been growing slowly and they are in a very tough division. Stars Ducks and Sharks, some pretty heavy duty company to be hanging with. The right peices for the Coyotes are coming into place to make them very strong.
as an avs fan i don't hate the coyotes, i am down right scared of them. i saw firsthand what the desert dogs are capable of. avs vs coyotes games were some of the most excited of the regular season, especially the game that went twelve rounds in the shootout. i still think they are a few good defenders away from making a serious run but all the pieces are there. their division is crazy good too. but i get the feeling it won't be too long before we see the coyotes in the playoffs.
Yotes are on the verge of breaking out big. Don't give up on your team no matter what some jerks may say.
that little senators smiley hittin the Leafs smiley is totally backwards... it should be the other way around... think bell on alfie.
hang in there, yotes fan!congrats to Montoya on his first start.
