Like a gut punch.
That's how it feels to have one of your good friends traded away from the team you love. It's been a rough first part of the season for Carlo Colaiacovo and now his brief tenure with his beloved Maple Leafs comes to a crashing halt.
Nothing had to be said between us as I saw Carlo yesterday afternoon. Watery eyes, a shrug of the shoulders, our embrace was a bit longer than normal. I can't help but think the Leafs will regret this move in years to come. I have that much faith in Carlo. The other part of the deal, Alexander Steen, what can be said about him? Never living up to the original hype surrounding his name, it was best for him to get a clean start in another city.
Right now, in hockey terms this MAY be a good move for the Leafs. Stempniak is fast and has displayed a scoring touch in the past. He may be a good fit on a young, fast Leafs team.
Right now, I'm at a loss for words.
"Never living up to the original hype surrounding his name, it was best for him to get a clean start in another city." So this is only true for Steen, and not Carlo? There may be a slight bit of bias in your evaluation.Perhaps you and Carlo can hash it out over a glass of Merlot and a couple of dildos.
was it one of those embraces, where you want to say "never let me go, Carlo NEVER LET ME GO" but you can't, not out loud, so you try instead to say it with the sinewy taughtness of your underarmour clad biceps, desperately clinging to the last faint hope of a love torn asunder by forces bigger than both of you, bigger than your love, and you wipe away the last fleeting thought of what could have been with your solitary tear as you walk out onto the cold hard streets outside the arena.was it like that?
I am sorry to hear your good friend has been traded...
Next time you see Carlo, make sure to hug him on the behalf of all Leafs fans
have my babies.
a gut punch to the torso
atleast you will be able to ask for a new jersey for christmas, the 3rd jersey's for the Blues are sweet and with Colaiacovo on the back it will be even sweeter
I have never witnessed true love before. What the two of you have is special. To have him taken away from you just brings me to tears. Can I have a hug too?
Next time you see Carlo, make sure to rub him on the behalf of all Leafs fans - asp1986 Fixed.
Do you like attractive young ladies?

Will you be able to drive the Zamboni in St. Louis?
If only the Leafs had as much faith in Carlo (and his torso) as you did...
if you look anything like your picture im sure even manics can tear himself away from Carlo for a second
When you say "our embrace was a bit longer than normal" do you mean "Our rim jobs were from the heart"?
You knew that he wasn't getting a fair shake from Wilson, which is odd considering that big, puck-moving defencemen that hit do not crop up every day. I'd have liked to see him get more of a chance with the current Leafs, but Ian White had him outplayed in a big way.
Just a question... what is the nature of your relationship to Carlo... are you his cousin or something? Did you let him practice in your driveway when he was growing up? Because it just seems odd that a 38 year old would be embracing a 25 year old if there was no really close relationship between the two... like the age gap isn't big enough that you'd be his Godfather... so what's the deal?
A-Mar .. Manics is an "insider". Inside what, we're not sure and are really afraid to ask.
He's inside Carlo's anus, pengal. Him and Carlo are gay lovers....... he's gay.
