The Hypocrisy of Gary Bettman

Recently Gary Bettman said Avery's remark offended him as a parent.

"To be perfectly honest I wouldn't want to have to explain to my 12-year-old daughter what he said," the commissioner said.

I find this humorous considering the NHL allows its teams and media partners to advertise viagra with a disclaimer: in the rare event of an erection lasting more than 4 hours, seek immediate medical help to avoid long-term injury.

Bettman doesnt want to explain to his daughter in a civil manner what sloppy seconds is, (there is a way to do it in a respectful manner and teach her that it is a bad term in some eyes)

But Bettman is ok if his daughter after watching a TV commercial during an NHL game would come to him and ask him what it means to have a 4 hour erection or even what Viagra is?

Seems to me that Bettman doesnt want to be a parent who communicates with his children about real life issues, unless it brings in revenue via advertising.

I really wonder what Bettman would do if his daughter popped the Viagra question...
