During training camp, today, Jaromir Jagr left early with "soreness".

As we know, "soreness" is usually media speak for injury. In the case that he is injured, the Devils have a few options to work with.

1.) Damien Brunner - His name has alredy been worn out, but none the less, he would be a likely replacement if Jagr is predicted to be injured into the regular season. Damien, who in 44 games, scored 12 times and added 14 assists, adding up to a +/- of -6. Adding to the Red Wings playoff appearance, Brunner has proven to be a quality top-9 forward.

2.) Mason Raymond - Mason, a very capable player, provides something the Devils lack: speed. The versatile winger scored 80 times with 98 assists, adding up to a +/- rating of 17 in 374 games. A personal favorite and a very talented player, Raymond would fill Jagr's void well.

3.) Reid Boucher - This case would be different than the others in the way that he wouldn't shift into Jagr's spot in the lineup; someone would have to switch around. Reid Boucher, as Devils fans have heard millions of times over, is a prolific goal scorer. Breaking Steven Stamkos's goal scoring record and contributing with another three goals in 11 games with Albany, along with his increasing maturity on and off the ice makes him a possible candidate for much less money.

4.) Trade. And no, everybody, Henrique is staying. Maybe, however, Jagr's just sore because he's 41. We'll see. Thanks for reading!

Same, dmars, I think Raymond would be best. However, if Boucher comes out and plays like a star, he has a chance. Based on how well Ted is doing so far, he seems more likely than Boucher.

Yeah, surprisingly. Showing much improved play, according to Cordell.

I have small hope he can turn his career around. Has a lot of skill and heart.

Yep. So far it looks like Ted and Olesz will split time on the 3rd line.
