So here we are at the mid-point of the season (41st game is tonight), and the Sharks are tied for first place in the Pacific Division. I can't complain that they are in first in the division, but I think in the beginning of the season most of us were expecting them to be about where Detroit is these days.
Anyway, my first blog so I thought i'd give my report cards thus ...
Now that we're a full week into free agency, some of the contracts handed out still stagger me.
Still, that's not to say that the signings will not help their new teams, just that I feel GM's were fast and loose with the checkbook.

We're about a third of the way through the season, so I figure it's about time I should issue my opinions of the Flyers (version 2008-09). The Flyers are sitting at 13-7-6. They have points in 73% of games, but only 62% of possible points. They also lead the league in overtime games, a stat that is bad for both my blood pressure and the team's chances in April and May. ...

It's a boring slog to watch but finally there is a mind shift with the pick ups the Maple Leafs have made. They're notable enough to have me make this blog.
