Saturday saw the Hawks make every fan sweat through their pants with an exhilarating 5-4 victory. Kane, Seabrook, Sharp, Stalberg and Bolland tallied for the Hawks. Though not able to leave Jersey with two points the Hawks played a very solid game despite the first five minutes. For a newly offensive schemed team the Devils were impressive. Parise remains one of my favorite players to watch and I often ponder what kind of player it would take to get him in an Indian head. But nonetheless we learned a lot about this hawk team last night.

Preds 6 Hawks 1. The streak was not going to last forever. But what this blowout on home ice suggests is that the Hawks are going to have a rough stretch without their captain and Norris trophy winning defensman. I could not even here the anthem. It was a sold out playoff atmosphere at the United Center last night, and the game that followed, well, it was all anyone could ask for out of a Chi-Van affair.
