WTF are the Habs doing?

Posted 2:09 PM ET | Comments 7
Just wondering through written word, what my beloved hockey team will look like next season. With their reluctance to ever sign impact UFA's from other teams over the summer and their hesitation to tender contracts to their own UFA's thus far I dont see a marked improvement on last season. Unless some speculated signings are actually executed, this is not going to be a pretty 09-10 season. One problem: is there REALLY anybody available via free agency that makes this team significantly better than last year if they lose Koivu and/or Kovalev and/or Komisarek? I think not...the Sedin twins have yet to prove they are tough enough to handle a season and deep playoff run, Hossa is floater just looking to ride coattails to a cup and stop already with Vinny (he is not coming).

I say the 2009-2010 season should be more about the team that they had last year (which was decimated by injuries all year long) and less on a making a wholesale change.

Marian Hossa is anything but a floater. Nice try.

Get used to this because the reason why Montreal doesn't sign big names is because nobody but home grown talent wants to play for Montreal. Atleast you have memories of what it's like to be a winner because Montreal will never win the cup again. AND it's gonna really suck when the leafs are pounding the habs everytime they play. What can you do? Nothing. Just sit back and watch average quebec players put on the bleu blanc et ROUGE hahaha
