Well with the trade freeze in effect until the 27th obviously nothing will happen physically-though I'm sure there is a lot of banter between GM's right now.

Colorado's identity has changed a lot in recent years - powerhouse that could beat you anyway they wanted to coping with the loss of star players to an almost-rebuilding team with a lot of young talent. Since the departures of Foote, Blake, Forsberg, Deadmarsh, Yelle and the like, this team has lost something. Thankfully we have some who pick it up when needed. But let's be honest here, Colorado is still missing something (and don't say goaltending)!

If we are going to make some trades this year, I would rather see us pick up some gritty, big-hit players. Guys that can muck it up AND score are invaluable and we don't need to break the bank to get big names either. So who's out there? Who could we go after?

Here are some names: Chris Kelly, Jason Smith, Mike Commodore, Ryan Malone, and Barret Jackman. They're not goons - they're gritty. We already know how to put the puck in the net, we just need some more heart (and some more hits) - that's what will help us regain championship form! go avs go!

Yes sir. Very much agree. It could help if we were healthy too.
