Dany Heatley

What if the Rangers were to land Dany Heatley? Who would they give up? Ryan McDonaugh was aquired from Montreal because Murray wanted him in exchange for Heatley. Rozsival and Zherdev are the two biggest trade bait as of now and one of them is expected to be dealt. I feel that maybe a three way trade may be going down between the Rangers, Sharks, and Senators. This could be possible if the Rangers sign Zherdev at $4 million and then trade him to make resonable cap space.

To the Sens-Salary gained:$10.8 million. Lost:$11.8
Patrick Marleau (SJ)
Ehrhoff (SJ)
McDonaugh (NYR)
Lukowich (SJ)

To The Rangers-Salary gained:$10.9 million. Lost-$11.5 million
Dany Heatley (OTT)
Kelly (OTT)
Lee (OTT)

To the Sharks-Salary Gained:$10.6 million. Lost-$10.8 million
Rozsival (NYR)
Zherdev (NYR)
Anisimov (NYR)
Girardi (NYR)

Each team clears cap space and gets great assets added to their team. Ottawa gets a #2 center a d prospect, two defenseman, and a minor leaguer. They also part ways with unhappy sniper Dany Heatley, overpaid Chris Kelly, an defenseman Brian Lee.

The Rangers get a #3 center, a 50 goal scorer, and a top 4 dman. They clear some cap space to obtain RFA Brandon Dubinsky and maybe Anton Babchuk. Heading out would be Michal Rozsival, Nik Zherdev, Dan Girardi, and Ryan McDonaugh. The defense would be (if they get Babchuk) Babchuk, Staal, Redden, Gilroy, Del Zotto, and Brian Lee. Bobby Sanguinetti or Corey Potter would be able to jump in, if there is an injury.
The Sharks get 3 forwards to fill the roster and two defenseman that show some offensive skills from the blue line.

This seems like a good deal all around. The Rangers have some solid lines to fill out thir roster.....

Heatley Dubinsky Gaborik
Kotalik Drury Callahan
Higgins Kelly Avery
Brashear Boyle Byers

Redden Gilroy
Staal Lee
MDZ Babchuk

Let me know what you guys think, and what you would do to improve the trade.

Thanks!,
Kyle
