NYI DiPietro out 4-6 weeks

The word is spreading like a wild fire, Rick DiPietro's selfish flashy play once again bites the Islanders in the butt and this time the pain will last 4-6 weeks.

I can't say I am all that unhappy, I am glad Poulin should get the nod as starter.

I have been following the blogs, tweets, and other forums and people seemed to have mixed reviews on the fight the other night. Some people backed my opinion on DP and others knocked what I said.

Today the tune has changed and the fans are beyond frustrated. That fight wasn't about defending your team. It was his attempt to take the focus off his poor play. Well big guy, if we can't convince you to retire then this is just the next best thing for the growth of the Islanders.

My advice, take the next 4-6 weeks and reflect on your actions.

Looking forward to the game tomorrow. I guess my birthday wishes were heard and Poulin should get the start tomorrow. THIS IS THE TURNING POINT. You heard it here first!!!
