Finally!! When the schedule makers came up with the idea of pushing the Chicago/detroit series off until this late in the season, could they have known how much it would be anticipated? Chicago with 50 points, Detroit with 47, the Blues playing like annoying little brother wanting to play with the big boys, all together three of the best teams in hockey.
Chicago is off to an amazing start considering they only have Toews and nobody else as a top six center. Bolland is a third liner playing in a top six role out of attrition, because Kane has proven that while adept at wing, as a center he is lost. Sharp is his usual snipery self, hard to believe Chicago got him for a third rounder and the immortal Matt Ellison, who played sev gamsve two seasons for Philly before drifting away. Emery looks solid, I was begging and hoping thewings couldhave added himinstead of Conklin, but that goes back to a very poor offseason in which guys like Jovo, Emery, the Wiz Fleischman could have all wore the winged wheel, but we made no serious offers and instead wound up with Commodore, Brunnstrom, Conklin. Thank God we got Ian White or the offseason would have been a complete washout.
Anyway go Wings!!
