I think Coyotes fans, more than most, have spent these first few weeks of the Free Agent signing season looking at each other and saying, "Who?"
We realize, naturally, that the Yotes are going to "get to the playoffs" on the cheap this year. Cheap and young. Why, they might even have to have Kool-Aid in the locker room for this bunch. And they certainly are going to have to serve it to those of us in the stands, if you know what I mean. Yeah, THAT kind of Kool-Aid.
After summarily dismissing and insulting any veteran over 30, they have (so far) assembled a lackluster bunch of young'uns with what they hope is potential.
I don't know, if I want to spend money watching potential, I'll take in a few Roadrunner games.
*******
And another thing...
Three weeks into the month, we are now starting to see the "experts" and their columns on the "second tier" of signings, all of them with an opinion on who is worth of a contract and who isn't. All of them with something snarky to say, as well, on those they deem UNworthy.
I've always wondered what gives these "expert opinions" any more weight than those of my fellow bloggeres, or myself for that matter. Most of us are just as knowledgable about the game of hockey as any of the columnists claiming to have an inside track on what will or will not happen. In fact, I would wager to say that some are even MORE knowledgable. Do these so called experts have the ear of GMs throughout the league? Or are they just lucky enough to be getting paid for having an opinion?
And where is MY check, by the way?
Nice read- seems to me that most professional analysts are just more charismatic then the average hockey fan. Cant say you guys have picked up much in the way of geting into the POs but York at 1M is a horrible signing- unless he plays the exact opposite of his time in Philly when he complained about not getting enough ice time and then when he did you couldnt tell if he was not trying or actually sucked that badly.

The Coyotes are a baffling bunch. Gretzky has to be going grey looking at the current roster. I doubt Tocchet will place a single bet for the Coyotes this season.
I don't get what Phoenix is doing either. Shane Doan is gotta be banging his head against the wall for signing that contract last year after they PROMISED him they were going to rebuild and not play the kids. Tell The Great One the Ducks will give you Bryz and hsi pick of anyone on the Portland Pirates roster (except Bobby Ryan) for Doan.
Doan should request a trade, lol
