As you can see by looking at my profile I am a long-distance fan, and at this time of the year it gets pretty dificult. The Wild were immediately thrown off of Versus radar when they were switched randomly to the Wednesday/Friday schedule instead of the Thursday/Saturday schedule they were supposed to have. For the last three days I've been walking around upset about it thinking I'd have to settle for my XM radio or NHL radio broadcasts of it. Today I found the solution, and I am absolutely extatic about it. The game will be broadcast live on Yahoo, check out
http://sports.yahoo.com/nhl/ the schedule is on the right side and you can see the icon representing the live broadcast on Yahoo. I hope a few avid fans take advantage of this and get the chance ot watch Minnesota beat up on Anaheim. *crosses fingers*
Also I want to say that Pittsburgh is absolutely laying an egg against Ottawa so far. Crosby and Malkin have both been knocked around pretty good and besides Ryan Malone they aren't doing anything about it. They are making Fleury make big time safe after big-time save, and he just isn't ready for it. Hopefully things can change as I want to see Pittsburgh turn it around!
Last season Comcast broadcast some games live as well... no schedule or news yet this season, http://www.comcast.net/sports/nhl/hockeylive/And you do not have to be a subscriber to watch, though I think both Yahoo and Comcast use DNS to determine where you live so you must be in the US.
Additionally, Center Ice is free for the first 3 weeks, and will be available on the web at http://www.nhl.tv/team/console
