I haven't posted in some time because I've been busy at work (let's be honest, we all do this at work) but I felt the need to post this one.
The Ducks are about to make a trade...
While I do not have confirmation from the team the writing appears to be on the wall. The Anaheim Ducks have announced that they have signed Bruno St. Jacques to a one-year deal (no tagging issue) and recalled him from Portland of the American Hockey League.
The Ducks are currently in the final game of a 3 game road trip with only 6 active defenseman. Kent Huskins made the trip but has not played because his knee has not healed as quickly as the team would have liked.
My gut tells me that if Bruno is able to make it to tonight's game in Columbus than the trade will occur before or during the game (the healthy scratch will traded) and if he does not make it then the trade will occur after the game.
Scott Niedermayer will then be able to make his season debut on Wednesday at home against Vancouver. Bruno St. Jacques will remain with the team until Kent Huskins is better at which time he will be sent back down to Portland.
As I said, all of this is my theory but it makes too much logical sense. Let me know if you have a different take on this.
Bruno did not make it to the game and the Ducks are currently losing 1-0 but I still believe that this move by Brian Burke means that one of the current defenseman is being moved
I don't know why some of these don't get posted to the main forum... I let Spector know about this signing and it goes up on his sites... I put it here and Eklund only puts a blurb on his post but doesn't post it for all to read. Why?
