As repoted on Leaf's lunch on am640 "Schneider Clears Waivers". Now talking to my sources, they say its just a waiting game for LA. They want Schneider, but they want him at half price. When the Ducks bring him back up(which they will) LA will be first in line to grab him.
Wow, Tampa misses out on him by 300K. If they can shed 1-2 million in cap room, does anyone want a depth forward, they can claim Schneider. This would sure up their back-end as well as give them wiggle room under the cap.
Atlanta should have grabbed him for the full salary. I don't know what their cap space is, but they should clear their plate for two years for some good D. If they want to keep Kovalchuk, they need more talent to keep him happy.
Makes total sence. Mathieu will be invaluable to Johnson this upcoming season and the Kings will get a little closer to actually being able to play this season!
Burke is saying he will trade mathieu before he would bring him on re-entry waivers.
I guess business is business, but i dont know if could see Burke treating a Vet player like that, not after the hassle this is gonna cause Schneider having to move his family after one year. But you never know i guess
