The news just doesn't get any better for the Blues these days...
According to Jeremy Rutherford of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, Andy McDonald limped off the ice during practice at the United Center in Chicago today, with what appears to be another injury to the same ankle he broke in November.
McDonald slipped and fell in the corner of the ice, threw his stick down in frustration, and hobbled into the dressing room. McDonald was working hard to return after the All-Star break, but the newest injury might derail those plans.
The Blues' center has been sidelined since mid-November when he broke his ankle against Montreal after catching a rut in the ice.
As of now, the Blues are saying he just "tweaked" the ankle, but tests on it will likely be done during the All-Star break to see how much damage was caused to the ankle.
If I had a dollar for every bit of bad news the Blues have received this season, I'd be a wealthy man....
