After missing the past 36 games with a broken ankle, Andy McDonald has been cleared to play and will be in the lineup tonight when the Blues take on the Vancouver Canucks.
McDonald practiced at full-speed this morning and everything checked ok, so coach Andy Murray and the Blues' trainers gave him the green light to return to the lineup.
However, McDonald will not be at his regular position. He will be playing left wing tonight with Patrik Berglund at center and TJ Oshie at right wing.
Blues notes:
The Blues will be playing down a defenseman tonight, and possibly longer. It was found that Mike Weaver has a broken finger that will sideline him for 3-4 weeks.
With McDonald returning to the lineup tonight, Andy Murray made a somewhat puzzling move by demoting David Perron to the fourth line alongside Dan Hinote and Jay McClement.
