2-1 win for the oil!!!

Vancouver fly's into town having not won a game on the road, and in my opinion they should have come out with win in that game. Khabibulin was the difference again this time stopping 39 of 40! The Oilers were outclassed by the 'Nucks in every aspect of this game, pinning Edmonton in their own zone for a ridiculous amount of time! Now some positives. Dustin Penner is starting to look a hell of a lot like a young Todd Bertuzzi!
Muscling his way into the offensive zone and out of the corners!! he was untouchable and when he coughed up the puck, surprisingly he was right there trying to get it back!! The play of one Ladislav Smid has been along time coming in averaging around 20 min a game since shelly and steady Steve went down he has been great! (check the sick save he made on that one timer) this team is showing some intangibles that you would have never seen last year.
Hemsky made a surprise start while brule was a surprise scratch and with Stone leaving in the first period with a lower body injury, they were able to weather the storm, with O'sullivan leading the rush all night gagner was able to take advantage and pot the game winner. this team is being beaten by opposing teams in every offensive category but the one that really counts!! I don't believe this trend can continue with the same out come for long! After last nights performance by Taylor Chorney i believe this kid is ready for full time play in the NHL! Further more i believe his play has Gilbert's days numbered!! lets get some feed back on the play of the oiler's in last nights game!
