I was fortunate enough to get my tix for the Pens' home opener against the Ducks on Oct. 6th before the game sold out. I was just wondering if any other teams around the league have sold out opening nights.

On a side note, I heard the game where the Rangers will be retiring Brian Leetch's number isn't on sale yet. Anyone have word on what's up with that?

Oh yeah, and by the way, why does Ticketmaster charge me a $9 convenience charge per ticket to give me the opportunity to print them from my own computer? It's not really convenient if I'm doing the work!

the Canes had a free tickets promotion and sold out 40 people in front of me in line... the rangers are probalby trying to build hype for that game. Either that or they don't have the nice tickets printed up / designed yet.

hey Frank... here in hockey crazy Edmonton, opening night is 99.9% gone. you can get singles in various spots, but if you want a pair, you're going to need a good set of binoculars... row 49 is the best pair out there. the Oilers have a crazy selling ratio.. something like 98 or 99% of all tickets available for home games are sold in any given year. Toronto is the same. Glad to see the support for the Pens... legit contenders to take it all this year I think.

I'm pretty sure their sold out to most teams.. I know they are for the Rangers.I was trying to get tickets for a november game in Pittsburgh against my Rangers. It was going to be a family event (8 people).. of course, at like 10:01, ticketmaster's site was crashing and the phone lines were jammed... my only option was stub hub and that's a price gouge and a half.. just angers me because that weekend is ruined.. ugh.. you get one good player and you all of a sudden have a fanbase again./vent

Ottawa vs Toronto back to back will be jammed in both arenas. As hershey says there's never any Leaf tickets to be had and it's getting to be the same situation (although not to the same degree) in Ottawa.
