Ok, Fedoruk is on waivers. I am not surprised and I do feel that he has been given a legitimate shot to really make a positive impact on this team, but he has not. I hope he finds a home with a team that needs a little grit. He is an extremely nice guy off of the ice.

I do not think he is going to get claimed unless we try to bring him back under re-entry waivers. This means that is he was to get picked up on reentry waivers that we are responsible for half of his salary and it counts against the cap. If he does not get picked up on the current waivers he is on we are responsible for all of his salary ($885,000), but none of it counts toward the cap. My guess is that he will be packaged in a trade when one occurs by Christmas. Yup, by Christmas.

Jussi Jokinen... who.... isn’t he that shootout guy?... is he related to Olli? Ok, Jussi has been pretty quiet all year, until last Friday that is! Jokinen exploded and put 4, yup 4, in the back of the net against the Colorado Crapalanche (haha, I am hilarious). I keep wanting to jump for joy that Jokinen is back on track and ready to have a break out year (I think a break out year for him would be 60+pts), but I am reigning in my optimism on this. Theodore was absolutely horrible in this game. Jussi still would have had 2 goals in this game (his 1st and 3rd), but not all 4 had Budaj played the entire game. Jussi's first goal was an EXCELLENT shot, short/stick side high from in-between the dot and the slot and his third goal was a tap-in from the always excellent Sergei Zubov (who had 4 assists in the same game). I am really looking forward to the next few games to see if Jussi continues with his scoring touch or if he fizzles, yet again.

I like Jussi a lot at Center as apposed to winger this year, and part of last year. If he can just keep his confidence up and fight for pucks like Hagman and Miettinen (his line mates) do, he would be very scary for an opposing defense/goaltender.

Fistric had been recalled, but a day later was sent down to Iowa. I agree with this decision. Fistric would not have played unless another D-man was injured before Norstrom returned to the lineup. I love Fistric, and I think that next year he will be much closer in the hunt to make the Dallas roster, but he still needs more time in Iowa.

Grossman is turning it around. His first 2 games up he was getting turned around too easily when the opposing offense came into the zone with speed, but he has stepped up his skating and physical game to compensate and has played much, much better since.
If Morrow gets a nomination for the All-star game then why not give a nomination to the McRib himself (Mike Ribeiro). I know that Center is easily the toughest position to play if you want to get into the all-star game, but he should be nominated. 8 Goals 11 Assists +9 19 points in 16 games. Modano got nominated... 5 Goals 7 Assists -9 12 points in 19 games.
