So my fellow Leaf fans lets take a look at what the roster "potentially" Could look like come opening day if they do not sign anyone....

Forwards would consist of a bunch of possibillities...Mikhail Grabovski,Nikolai Kulemin,Jason Blake,Alex Poni,Nik Hagman,Matt Stajan,Tyler Bozak,Christian Hanson,Colton Orr,Jamal Mayers,Lee Stempniak,John Mitchell,Jiri Tlusty,Chris Didomenico,Dale Mitchell,Nazem Kadri,Mikhail Stefanovich,Viktor Stalberg,Ryan Hamilton,Kyle Rogers,Joel Champagne

On Defense there are fewer possibillities I'm also going off the assumption that Kaberle is traded...... Schenn,Komisarek,Exelby,Finger,White,Stralman,Vanryn,Stralman,Frogren,Harrison,Oreskovic

In Goal unless anything Changes...Toskala...Pogge...6

Projected people to make the team

Hagman
Stajan
Bozak
Hanson
Orr
Mayers
J. Mitchell
V.Stalberg
R.Hamilton

Defense

Lines

LW C RW
Kulemin Grabovski Hagman
Poni Bozak Stalberg
Blake Stajan Hanson

with that said I still think the leafs are targeting the following players
- Francois Beauchmin,Alex Tanguay,Travis Moen,Gustafson,Ryan Clowe,Phil Kessel,
Outside Possibillities could be Betuzzi,Afinogenov,Kotalik,Comrie

Some updates on the leafs prospects and there last seasons played....

I can see Frogren not being in the top 6 dmen but no Van Ryn? He'd be their best dmen when healthy. Tlusty will forsure get opportunity to play with the big boys...I would think before Stalberg as he is more of a top 6 fit.

I'm a sens fan so maybe I shouldn't be commenting on this, but I don't think you guys should be trying to trade kaberle. It's hard trying to find decent puck movers on the back end, trust me after watching Ottawa's offense struggle last year without a number one puck moving defence man, kaberle's value is almost shocking. Anyways you guys are really bulking up, hopefully we'll have some classic games next season....

A comment on your line combos... Offence: Bozek doesn't make the team this year, neither does Hanson. And if they do, there's no way either of them makes the second line off the bat like that. These guys are college players, they haven't even got any decent AHL experience yet. Mitchel is 3rd line centre, Stajan is 2nd.

Message PostedDefence: 1. Schenn will be on the 2nd Defensive line behind Komi (who is currently a better player due to experience). 2. You forgot to mention Oreskovic who will be a spare part just like Frogren unless Burke moves some faces. I dont think Stralman makes the team if he's on the 3rd d pairing... Burke will want two defensive pluggers there.

I absolutely believe Bozak is a shoe in to make the team this year barring a horrible Training camp... Hanson is up in the air but I think he makes it too this is a rebuilding team and If bozak has a good prospects camp and a good training camp i totally see him playing on the first or second line much like Kulemin and Grabovski did last year.

Yeah I wont lie I hate ottawa lol I actually use to cheer for them behind toronto back when they had Rhodes and tugnott splitting duties... However I think at this point you have to consider trading Kaberle because of the lack of a Star Scorer.... I will say this though as much as I hate Ottawa what Heatley is doing to them is a joke and I hope they get some value for him.
