You think it gets easier leaf fans ?

Look I know some of us are still like we can get a young star player through free agency next season. Well the fact is there's only one Kovalchuck and who knows if he will even be available and if he is available i see it least 20 teams having lots of interest.

The Fact is if your looking for a Youthful Goal Scorer in there 20's Still your only shot at that is Kovalchuck now through FA. The Leafs have to either prey one of there kids turns into a star or they cough up some assets via trade for a star.
In my opinion here are some names I think Brian Burke would consider adding depending on the cost via trade or free agency this season.

Mike Comrie
Alex Tanguay
Phil Kessel
Patrick Marleau
Kris Versteeg (if he becomes available)
Joe Thornton (if he ever goes on the trading block)

Thornton is a best case scenario the reality were going to have to build from within now. Unless we score lucky on some trades. If i'm Burkie right now im calling up my good buddy Peter and seeing if you can get Kaberle for Kessel back on and maybe the leafs part with another part to get the deal done. If you can bring Kessel into the fold that changes things up front.

One thing is forsure there is alot of hope riding on the likes of Bozak,Hanson,Kulemin,Grabovski,Tlusty,Kadri,Stalberg,Stefanovich,Didomenico and Mitchell that some of those guys can turn out to be top six forwards. I think Kulemin is going to turn out to be a solid third liner who nets you 20 a year. Grabovski I like alot if he doesnt get the sophmore jinks and he score 25 goals and 60 points who knows. I'm really looking forward to seeing Bozak,Hanson,Stefanovich,Didomenico and Stalberg play there first full season of pro next year weather it's with The Leafs or Marlies. Tlusty is a wild card here point per game last season in the AHL he raised some eye brows. I think if the leafs fail to add a impact scorer this guy is going to play in there top six. If they could ever get the Kessel Deal done I wouldnt mind seeing Kessel,Bozak,Tlusty as a unit.

Whatever happens over the next 8 weeks one thing is forsure I dont think the leafs are done I'm expecting 3-5 more moves between now and then weather it be through Free Agency or Trade.

There are plenty of scorers on that list besides for Kovalchuk.

Does not look like Leaf Land is a place stars want to go, like Montreal. The media circus is too much. Also, seem like Burke is running out of friends to make deals with.

Kaberle for Kessel was never on the table. Both teams thought they were getting a first rounder along with the other team's player, while they were dealing just their player.
