41 games played, and we're still in the hunt

Last night the Blue Jackets played their 41st of 82 games, and are now officially halfway through the season. With a record of 19-16-6, 44 points, the jackets are on pace for at least 80-90 points, which may be good enough for a low playoff spot in the Western Conference. Let's reflect back on this up and down season.

Jody Shelley, a roster spot better used

If there is one thing that annoys me most about the Blue Jackets, its the fact that they still have Jody Shelley. I have no beef with him as a person, however I think he doesnt fit in the Jackets roster, even with the injuries. Sure he might be an enforcer, but I think that position is already been filled by some of the younger players.

A "carnival-like atmosphere" in Ohio

Traditionally, sports in Ohio are generally regarded as mediocre. However this year I feel there is an excitement for Ohio sports that has not been around for a long time. Here is what has been happening:
