Due to your constant comment about our defence killing us, I thought I would actually have a look at some stats to see if the is validity to your tirades about our blueliners:

Vancouver

Name Pts. TOI +/- Pims
Bieksa 0 24 -1 16
Krajeck 0 15 -1 6
Mitchell 1 24 +1 4
Ohlund 4 24 +2 6
Salo 1 22 +2 2
Sopel 0 15 +2 0

6 --- +5 34
Dallas

Name Pts. TOI +/- Pims
Boucher 1 24 -5 6
Daley 1 18 -3 4
Norstrom 0 20 0 8
Robidas 1 16 -1 2
Sydor 2 19 +2 2
Zubov 4 25+ +3 2

9 --- -4 24

Take time to notice the totals…Dallas collectively was - 4 meanwhile Vancouver was +5 and they even got shutout 3 times in the series. Oh and notice the penalty minutes, I guess the ref was one sided eh? It's called research, you should try it.

I'm not sure why you feel the need to include my name in your titles...but thanks for the plugs! My blogs have been profound, concise, researched, and accurate! My comments are mostly off the cuff. I will take a look at the numbers...but our latest argument has been about game 7 officiating. And if you want to believe your defense is not killing you, then you can stay in never-never land forever for all I care! Bieksa has absolutely sucked and even Willie Mitchell sucked in game 6! We all know that if Luongo did not stand on his hand then entire time...you guys would have gotten trounced in 4!

How can you say you researched? Did you see the stats? PS....We traded for Luongo, he is on our team, his job is to stop the puck, he did his job. Oh yeah! Round 2 Baby!

I see your numbers...you left out Fitzpatrick's -1. We took fewer penalties, scored more, and had more even strength goals scored against us. Those numbers do not tell the story of game 7's officiating--in which the refs controlled the outcome...and they also include -2 from two empty netters. What's your point...your D still sucks. They were nervous, way too many times undisciplined, and you will be soooooooooo lucky to win one game against the Ducks. Good luck in the 2nd round...it could be a short one! You better hope Luongo can be even better this series...and I'm pretty sure that would mean supernatural intervention! And for the record...I research any numbers I put into my blogs...again...they are profound, concise, researched, and accurate. In fact, they are extremely well-written...if I do say so myself!

I also left out Klemm, one game is not a true testament. Remember its a series of game not just one game, maybe you should tell the Stars that. Our D was ranked right on Dallas' butt in the regular season, 2.35 (Dallas) 2.40 (Vancouver). Your comment about the second round....well at least we will have one. Game 7 was not dictated by the ref's but rather by the glove hand of Luongo on the save from Stu Barnes, if that goes in then you wouldn't be commenting on the refs.

I watched the game and I agree completely that the refs screwed over Dallas, especially in the third period. I was stunned at some of the penalties called and felt bad for Dallas that they were stuck killing off unwarranted penalties. I think that Vancouver fans are blind if they really think the reffing was fair.

Preach it brother...all I wanted was a fair shot!

I thought Dallas outplayed Vancouver for most of the series but lost it by their own fault. When you need your goalie to get a shutout to win somethings not working right.

Agreed...we needed more offense...but on the other hand, Luongo was a beast on his end too!

Pims in series 104 (Dallas) 110 (Vancouver) another statistic that was dead pretty even. I agree our goaltender stole it, but the goaltender is part of our team. Dallas did out play us at several points but not when it mattered the most. Dallas should have put it away a lot earlier but the Canucks played through it and came out on top. Canucks got it done, Stars did not. 4 games to 3 games...round two brother! I know the next round will be tough, we may get roasted, but at least we have a shot! LMAO! I read the scoreboard right last night did I not...4 - 1 Vancouver?

Well, I am assumed that you listened to the Hockey night in Canada (CBC) when you watched game 7 on Monday night. I know that they were even stunned by all the CRAPPY calls in the game. Get over it dude, you know you got lucky in game 7, and just suck it up like that. And I just hope that Timmo and Company hand you your a** in the 2nd round. Look out Vancuver the big Chris Pronger is gonna level your a**. STARS are better team, just believe in it, and trust me TURCO was better than RL. Also you might want to consider changing your screen name, because he will get pounded in the 2nd round. And since your only offensive line (the Sedin twins) can't score, you will loose the series in a way that you wish you hadn't gone to the 2nd round of the playoffs.

You must have missed the save the Roberto made off of Stu Barnes in the late stages of Game 7. 2nd Roundis further than the Stars made it. If the Stars were that much better than the Canucks then you would have walked all over us...didn't happen buddy. I am willing to say the Stars did control the play, I am willing to say that Turco was awesome (But no better than Luongo was, I would say the goaltending was even), but if the tables were turned I would be calling out the players for not being able to put it away. As for the Ducks in round 2, anything can happen.

Let me make this clear for my last comment on the subject. The officials controlled the outcome of this game. I don't know if we would have won...but we did not get a fair chance to compete. It took a slew of penalties against Dallas to finally wake your team up! Call me out all you want...I'm up to the challenge and appreciate the plug. But last time I checked, I was a Dallas Stars fan...I root for my team and hope the best for them. I didn't guarantee anything...I said I liked our chances, especially after the way we stormed back in the series. I will always root for the STARS! Good luck in the 2nd round...I don't think you'll last long...but good luck!

Yes, anything can happen in the 2nd round! Lunogo and the d-men have just been perferated for 3 goals by the same line in 10 minutes!
