The Devils finally announced their moves to get under the salary cap today.
As expected, defenseman Bryce Salvador, who is sidelined indefinitely with a concussion, was placed on long-term injured reserve.
Defenseman Anssi Salmela, who is recovering from off-season surgery to report a torn ACL and torn meniscus in his right knee, has been non-roster injured player.
Defenseman Matt Taormina was assigned to Albany of the AHL and center Adam Henrique has been recalled.
The last move sounds like a move on paper only. Henrique did not play a preseason game for the Devils before being sent to Albany.
