Parise, Zach »
Contract:
Salary: $3,125,000
Status: RFA in 2011-2012. No NTC, NO NMC.
Means: The current team must extend a "qualifying offer" to a restricted free agent to retain negotiating rights to that player.
Keep him (which I vote for and I know Lou wont let him get away) Trade him, waivers, let him walk
Ok, these are starting to get annoying now.
You let him go and you're letting a player who can be a corner stone for a franchise get away. Once we figure out how to accomodate having him and Kovalchuk together (on the same team, not on the same line), then we can have a two headed monster that in the future can be a winning combination. Kovalchuk looks better playing on the left so this year we're just going to have to deal with it. Zajac is Parise's center. Find a center for Kovalchuk and then throw some right wings on who compliment the players.
This team is going to struggle next year..even if we make the playoffs our Defence will be very weak. Assuming Parise gets $7million we will have nearly $25million committed to 4 left wingers (Parise, Kovalchuk, Elias, Rolston). The year after that Brodeur and Rolston come off then Elias and Zubrus the following year. Lou gave Rolston and Elias these long contracts now the team is going to have to suffer.
Assuming he's going to want at least $7 million, it is going to be really hard to keep him. With so much already tied up in players (with NTC's to boot), moves are going to be made.
these are getting fucking annoying.
Yep, confirmed. These posts are annoying. Put them into one post and be done with it.
give rolston away and trade tallinder, green, clarkson (i love him but 2.6 it too much for him), and even paddy if it means keeping zach
