Yeah, I know, not a very original title, but it's the truth. It all begins tonight, the illustrious challenge for hockey's greatest prize. Enough babble. Onto the games tonight.
I'm a fan, yes, duh, of the Canucks, but sports would never be the same if there was not some fantasy or predictive element. Besides cheering for your team, how many times have you said to your buddy, "I bet you that...."
Tonights games
By default on opening night, it seems like good measure to imagine that home teams will win. I think that this will be the case, save the one game. Yes, you duckies, you're GOING DOWN!!! Backstorm and the boys have (I think) what it takes to win this series.
Wild to win tonight.
Canucks to outwork and Luongo to outplay Dallas. Yes, I'm the blind fan, but I think the special teams game goes in our favour and like I said, game 1, advantage home team.
The Sharks and Preds will offer probably the most dynamic excitement in the first round matchups for the west. Really divided here as to who will win. History tends to favour the Sharks here in terms of the match-up, the Preds are without Sullivan and Erat, but the fang fingers kill penalties better than the hammerheads.
Predators win a few more fans tonight.
As fiery as the Sharks/Predators game will be, the Senators and Penguins will offer perhaps evenmore excitement. Having their game on earlier might lead to an anticlimatic Sharks/Preds highlight reel, but I'm going to go out on the limb and say the Senators send out a statement to the league and win convincingly tonight. Sidney Sidney rah rah rah, there is no I in team and unfortunately, since you don't play in goal, there's only so much you can do. After game one, you'll feel intimidated.
Sens 5-1 tonight.
(hahaha, ok I've built up the Sens now and hopefully they don't collapse, LOL)
Your Sens projection was a little too confident. Now I am absolutely convinced that the Senators will collapse! Honestly, I think it will be a very close, high scoring series.
Really, I'm not kidding...
