30 Teams 30 Predictions

Before I get into the predictions, I've created an ESPN fantasy league in hopes of finding 9 other people willing to join. There are currently 7 teams left, so join up! Here's the link:

30 Teams, 30 Predictions

Anaheim – A flavor of the shortened season, they fail to make playoffs.

Boston – Milan Lucic scores 30 goals, again.

Buffalo – Ryan Miller gets traded.

Calgary – Sean Monahan scores 50 points.

Carolina - Eric Staal scores 40 goals.

Chicago – Cory Crawford takes step back.

Colorado – Nathan MacKinnon wins the Calder.

Columbus – The Blue Jackets finish 2nd in the Metropolitan

Dallas – Tyler Seguin makes Boston rethink the trade.

Detroit – Daniel Alfredsson misses 45 games with injury.

Edmonton – Makes the playoffs as the 8th seed.

Florida – New owner, same non-playoff position.

LA – Plays solid hockey all season long, vice the last 20 and playoffs.

Minnesota – Gets hosed in another trade...with Buffalo...again.

Montreal – Joins Anaheim as shortened season flavors and misses the post-season.

Nashville – Shea Weber wins the Norris.

New Jersey – Makes the playoffs for one last run with Brodeur before he retires.

New York Islanders – Earns a wildcard berth.

New York Rangers – Misses the playoffs despite the talented roster.

Ottawa – Finishes 2nd in the Atlantic division.

Philadelphia – Emery struggles and goaltending woes continue in Philly.

Phoenix – The new pay for parking standard in Glendale drives fans away and they lose even more money than previous years, continuing relocation talk.

Pittsburgh – Sidney Crosby plays all 82 games and scores 150 points.

San Jose – Logan Couture finishes the year with a point-per-game.

St Louis – Alex Pietrangelo scores 20 goals.

Tampa Bay – Steven Stamkos scores 70 goals.

Toronto – Phil Kessel breaks the 50 goal barrier.

Vancouver – Even though they finish 2nd, behind LA, in the Pacific they throw Luongo back under the bus after 10 games, with the topic joining Phoenix as the longest running drama series in the NHL.

Washington – Alex Ovechkin sits top 10 in points until Sochi ends, when he falls back and Washington misses the playoffs.

Winnipeg – Andrew Laad never comes near a point-per-game again, ever.

There you have it. Some of them may hit a sore spot with you but, honestly, all of them could happen. Maybe they will, maybe they won't. Hope you enjoyed the thoughts. I'll be back with a Sharks preview tomorrow as they prepare for the season opener against Vancouver on Thursday.

Thanks for reading! Stay icy, Sharks fans.

Blue Jackets are not in the Atlantic. Love everything else, though.

I will forever be calling the Penguins division the Atlantic I think.

I think you meant to say Iginla instead of Lucic will score 30 goals again

At first 70 goals sounds insane, but then I read Stamkos. 50 goals for kessel though???? - but I read this after his extension
