The Boys Are Back in Town!!

Even though I live in Niagara Falls, My home town is and always will be Toronto. Everyday I pick up the Toronto Sun to keep tabs of the City I was born in, and today's front page had me in a grin from ear to ear. It read LEAFS ARE BACK! with a picture of Darcy Tucker racing down the wing in his blue practice jersey.
I know a lot has been said about the Leafs this past off season, will the trio of Blake, Toskala and Bell get them into the playoffs? Will Scotty Bowman come in and clean house? Will Raycroft and Kubina get traded and to where? For me, none of this matters, all that matters is hockey is on horizon. My leafs, good, bad or ugly are my team and they always will be.
At this very moment, I could care less who was better last year, I could give a rats nasty behind about last years stats. Everyone dreams of their team cutting a path to the final, and we can all pretty much figure out which teams have an edge and which teams don't. Every year, every team starts off with a clean slate, and I don't care which team you support, every last one of them right now at this very moment are stanley cup contenders!

While I don't share your love for the Leafs, I too and getting excited about another hockey season starting.Hopefully, the Hawks will have something to cheer about even if Chicago media doesn't know (or care) that they exist.

I'm estatic! Just picked up my THN: Ultimate Pool Guide copy today. They predict us for 8th place, very reasonable. My favorite is them predicting Wellwood for 70 points :D
