Habs and Sharks in trade talks? Other NHL News...

There's been a ton of talk that the Habs and Sharks have talked about a trade that would send Patrick Marleau to the Habs, but speaking with a few sources, I've been told that the Predators, Oilers and the Sabres are also interested, and have offered better packages for Marleau.
Also, just because the Sharks are listening to offers for Marleau, does that really mean the Sharks are going to go ahead and trade Marleau? The answer is no.
The Sharks are more than willing to listen to offers from other teams, but that doesn't mean they are looking to trade him, unless of course some team just blows that Sharks away with an offer.
Every single team gets a call per day, where some GM talk about what it would take to get so and so player.
The chances of Marleau being moved are about slim to none at this point.
Teams like the Oilers, Rangers, Predators, Habs, and even the Leafs are looking right at Forsberg, and all have been in contact with Forsberg's camp. It's believed talking to people around the league, that Forsberg might actually end up player with his good friend Naslund out in B.C., while some believe the Rangers will push hard to grab him.
I wouldn't be surprised also to see Anson Carter sign with the Canucks, even though he's got offers across the waters.

You forgot to mention that Pavel Bure is coming out of retirement and Martin St. Louis is going to be traded to the Leafs.
