I've been talking to a few people from both sides, and I've been told that the Oilers are trying to grab Hossa from the Thrashers.

Now even if both teams work something out, I've been told that Hossa is unwilling to sign a new deal, and will test the free agent market next summer.

Also, don't count out the Sharks or the Habs if the Thrashers really open up talks for the superstar forward.

Also, the Coyotes have contacted the Rangers. Don Maloney would like to get Rangers goalie prospect Al Montoya. The Rangers have said they are not looking to trade him, unless it's something they can't say no to.

Peca is also still on the Rangers radar, but if he doesn't take their offer, they'll look elsewhere.

I'll be back with more later.

You have to be a fool to think that the Thrashers would trade Hossa.

Hossa doesn't make sense because Hemsky and Hossa both only play RW. Kovalchuk makes more sense.

Aside from Hemsky, what does Edmonton have to offer? Are they gonna trade Souray, Pitkanen, or Stoll? No one else on the team is worth their own weight in spit. You can always send picks, but Atlanta will want at least one impact player in return.

Of course not. And yes I used to be a frequent visitor to hockeynations, aswell as codes nearly non existent blog. Why would anyone pay for rumours? These are entertainment sites. Code offers another source of entertainment. The more the merrier.
