Bruins Playoff Push: The Last 10 Games and Trade Deadline

I know I am looking ahead, but the next 20 games will go by quickly and then we (as fans) will be looking at the last 10 games to see if Boston can clinch a playoff spot. Lets be honest, it won't happen before this because the race to the playoffs all year has been tighter than (insert joke here).
Here are the last ten games Boston plays, all but 2 against division rivals:

At first glance it doesn't look good, Boston is including Preseason 8-15 against these opponents. Against Montreal (0-6), Ottawa (1-3), Buffalo (3-2), Toronto (2-2), New Jersey (1-2) and Washington (1-0).
The skid against Montreal has to end, right? Please say yes. I'll even take a maybe at this point.
I think looking down the road, the Bruins need to pick up an impact player at the trade deadline. I don't think goaltending is their problem this season, but they do need goal scorers. They are the 3rd least scoring offense in the East and at this point in the season, they have zero 20 goal scorers. I think most teams need a top 6 forward, but I think Boston needs a top 3 forward.
Only time will tell as the deadline is approaching, but without Bergeron and Fernandez cap hits, they need to spend some money.

Kolzig, hahaYes, the Bruins haven't traded for a goalie in about 2 months, so they are definitely do to acquire another one.
Well, at least it will be an interesting final ten eh swede? You're right, they really need to find a way to spend that money, it's a lot. Clearly though, some of their future will have to be used to spend it, so it's a very tough call for Chiarelli. I think this will not come down to frugality, it's in ownership's best interest to spend and garner some attention. If something is done, it's gotta be for significant talent--- we already have average talent that plays well together.
