7-4
There isn't much to be said about this game. Dallas dominated a weaker opponent and took care of business. Brad Richards was more than advertised. The top 3 lines were phenomenal. I know Dave Tippett likes to tinker, but if it isn't broken leave it alone. Those 3 lines are awesome.

Player(s) of the Game: Richards and Hagman
Brad Richards with 5 assists in his debut, and his linemate Hagman got a hat trick. Amazing game from that line.
Dallas played an overall excellent game tonight. Turco let in a bad goal, Mattias Norstrom scored on his own net, and the powerplay coughed up a breakaway, but this was otherwise a dominating effort for Dallas.
Brad Richards was amazing in his debut. He had 5 assists on the night to set new career highs for points and obviously assists in a game. He and Hagman clicked out there. Miettinen played well too, but the other two clearly were superior. Hagman driving to the net got him two of the three goals tonight.
After Dallas had their three goal outburst to begin the 2nd period they got a little sloppy, but about half way through the 3rd they got back on their game enough to finish it out. I was getting a little worried there as the 3rd was ending about Dallas responding the Chicagos increased physical game, but Miettinen, Morrow, and Ott really responded. Morrows fight: wow. He murdered whoever it was that he was fightning.
The Stars offense was spectacular tonight. Brad Richards looks to be an amazing fit. Right now there is no team as deep as Dallas in the West, and arguably in the league. Watching Brad Richards work like that is remarkable, but he did one thing that impressed me more than his playmaking ability. Late in that game when the Hawks were going after Miettinen, and right before Ott got in his fight there was Richards right in the middle of everything defending his new teammates. The man has some fight in him to go along with his remarkable skill, and I feel even better about the Stars playoff chances than I did on Tuesday.
I probably won't have a recap of Saturday's game up until Sunday afternoon. I'll be catching the NOFX concert next door at the House of Blues while Richards and Co. take on Nashville.
