First things first, congratulations to captain Sidney Crosby and his Penguins for winning the 2009 Stanley Cup. Well done, guys, you put on quite a show. It was a hard fought series, right until the final seconds when goaltender Marc-Andre Fleury had to dive across the crease to rob Detroit captain Niklas Lidstrom of a sure goal. Wondering what Fleury was thinking when all that was happening? Take a look: http://everything-hockey.com/nhl-news/pens/

Wasn't the end of that game so very similar to game 6 from last year when Hossa slid the puck across the crease with time running out? Uncanny! However, I thought sure my Red Wings would take it again this year but, it just wasn't meant to be. The Pens earned every bit of this Cup and I hope they enjoy it but, get ready, the Wings will be in the hunt again next year and maybe they'll be a bit healthier and put up a better fight.

The next impact deal the Pens make will be signing Marion Gaborik from the wild for a one year deal worth 6million. As we lose scuderi and sign Greg Zanon. The pens will be back in the finals again.
