Update 1:18 pm

Reports are that Butler, Lindbohm and Jaskin have been assigned to Chicago and Fabbri back to juniors. I am trying to research how Lindbohm can go as it was my understanding that his Finland contract only had an NHL roster out. More to come on that front. JR is saying that Lindbohm choose to go to Chicago over Finland because he was told that he was close to the NHL. What he wants is all well and good but the real question is whether he is already under contract in Finland and what the contract allows to happen. I wonder if this story will develop over the next few days.

Other implications are that Gunnarsson must be coming of IR already or perhaps that he was never really put on IR. This seems very odd but I would bet it is the latter. JR confirmed that the earlier reports of him going on IR were not accurate.

Army is also keeping the roster at 22 to save cap dollars. No reason to eat up cap when the schedule is so light in October just to sit in the press box and practice.

I'm glad Jaskin got sent down as he needs to play real minutes in the hopes of developing. Again, my prediction was what I thought they would do, not what I would do.

Update 11:15am on October 7th

Per Jeremy Rutherford - "based on practice, you'd have to believe Fabrri is one of final three cuts. Other two will come from Lindbohm/Butler, Jaskin/Porter"

Also, Mueller on unconditional waivers to be let out of his contract, likely to go to Europe.

Jaskin is going down and Porter is staying. Jaskin has waivers and needs to play. Porter does not.If the decision is to send Porter down then it is because Fabbri is getting a nine game try out which would make little sense considering the top nine unless the Blues feel they can sneak him in or want him to rehab with them or practice more.Risk losing Porter has played well for your team or the much slower and over hyped Jaskin? Unless the clutching and grabbing continues to get worse(it will), and the game slows down(it will but nothing like the clutch and grab days of old), does Jaskin have much of a chance. He looks slow on a team that does not have all that much speed. He needs to get his wheels going to be a factor and not by much more to keep up. Once he gets in the corners he is golden but then in the Blues system you need to back check and if he cannot catch up players are going to be pulled out of position.

Sorry I do not see Cole in the press box for game one. That honor will go to Leopold.

Agree with blueman on both Cole and the Fabbri/Porter/Jaskin situation.

I like the lines but Porter should be up and Jaskin down like has been mentioned.Do the Blues even have a blogger anymore? We are two days from opening night and we have had zero blogs.
