For those of you who are not as up to date on the news coming out or going into San Jose, David Pollack of the Mercury News is reporting another name that was leaked for yet another possible assistant coach.

If you read my previous blog, you would know that we've already heard of Trent Yawney out of Chicago, and Jay Woodcroft out of Detroit, and now we have Todd Richards out of Wilkes-Barre, which is the Penguins AHL affiliate. All of the announcements are expected to be made on Wednesday.

Also, in his post, there is also an update with Curtis Brown and how he feels about the next stage in his career. Brown mentions how he really enjoyed playing and living in San Jose, but felt that he needed to jump at the opportunity that was open for him. A conversation with Joe Thornton is what really made the decision to play in Switzerland easy:

The Richards move has also been confirmed by another source:

Good luck to Curtis Brown. Nothing but a class individual. Was a big scorer coming out of junior and had his role changed at the NHL level. Scored a huge OT goal against the Flyers for the Sabres! With the personal tragic loss in his life he has held up well over the years to be a complete NHL player. Good luck to you and your family Curtis!

I will truly miss Curtis Brown. What a grinder and what a great guy and family man off the ice. He donated a lot of his time and energy off the ice to charitable organizations. Glad he has another oportunity to play

You're gettin good at this SoCal! In my mind, your blogs should be uptown from this one, where the bloggers have a team icon next to their name. I find it funny, that our most consistent, informative and year round blogger is in this section and is in Southern Cali, of all places;) Shouldn't you be surfin or hangin out on Rodeo Drive?;) Oh well, cancel that, I think you have more important things to do, like representing the Sharks and keeping us up to date!

Thanks Tim! That's a great compliment, and I appreciate the support :) Maybe one day I'll be a regular, you never know what can happen. It would be even better if it were a paying position! Then I would have some funds to be spending on Rodeo;)....but until then, I will do my best at keeping everyone up-to-date on all the happenings with the Sharks.
